Dedicated to Kate who loathes it to the very core of her being and Bex, who taught me how to make it
I know. This sounds disgusting, inedible even. However if you haven't had it before and therefore do not know it's beauty, trust me, it is very, very, very good.
1 box of white cake mix
1/4 cup vegetable oil
3 eggs
1 package of powdered whipped cream
2 cans of rootbeer
Mix the cake mix with eggs, vegetable oil and one can of root beer (335 mLs). Bake as per directions on cake box.
Once the cake has cooled prepare packaged whipped cream substituting rootbeer for the required liquid.

whoa! so it's the rootbeer that amkes the cake dark? i can't believe that used to be a white mix, must try this! it was so grat talking to you last night :)
It doesn't normally turn out this dark but this time I used a weird organic cake mix with whole wheat flour and organic microbrewery rootbeer and sprinkles. I'm afraid it does not taste as good as the ol' Duncan Hines / A&W standby.
